1. Coaching Relationship & Scope

  • Coaching is a professional partnership focused on personal and professional growth.
  • The client is responsible for their own decisions, actions, and outcomes.
  • Coaching is not therapy, counseling, or medical treatment and does not replace professional mental health, legal, or financial advice.
  • As an ICF Accredited Coach, you adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics, ensuring ethical and professional coaching conduct.

2. Confidentiality & Ethics (ICF Standards)

  • All coaching conversations are strictly confidential, except where disclosure is required by law (e.g., threats of harm, legal subpoenas).
  • ICF Code of Ethics compliance: Coaching will be conducted in alignment with ICF standards regarding integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Personal data is protected per ICF ethical guidelines and your Privacy Policy.

3. Responsibilities of Coach & Client

  • The coach provides a safe, non-judgmental space for exploration, reflection, and accountability.
  • The client agrees to be open, engaged, and take responsibility for implementing insights from coaching sessions.
  • The client acknowledges that results depend on their participation and application of learning.

4. Limitation of Liability

  • Coaching is not a guarantee of specific results; the client is responsible for their own success.
  • The coach is not liable for any personal, professional, or financial decisions made by the client as a result of coaching.

5. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

  • These terms follow Minnesota law, as Voyage Coaching & Consulting, LLC is registered in Minnesota.
  • Any disputes arising from coaching will be handled under Minnesota jurisdiction.

6. Adherence to ICF Code of Ethics

  • The coach follows the ICF Code of Ethics and commits to professional conduct.
  • The client may report ethical concerns about the coaching process through the ICF Ethics Complaint Process if needed.
